Glo2Facial

What is Glo2Facial?

Glo2Facial is an advanced skincare treatment designed to cleanse, exfoliate, hydrate, and enhance the skin's overall appearance.

This multi-step procedure combines a unique form of oxygenating exfoliation, ultrasound technology, and lymphatic massage to offer a highly effective, medical-grade facial. According to board-certified physician Dr. Jamé Heskett, this treatment can reduce fine lines, smooth skin texture, calm breakouts, and improve skin tone and brightness over multiple sessions.

Though typically performed on the face, Glo2Facial is also beneficial for other areas of the body, including:

  • Décolletage: Helps reduce wrinkles, sun damage, and breakouts.
  • Buttocks: Hydrates and smooths the skin, evening tone and texture.
  • Back: Addresses acne and dryness.
  • Underarms and Bikini Line: Targets ingrown hairs and pigmentation.
  • Hands: Rejuvenates dry, wrinkled skin and reduces signs of sun damage.

The treatment uses a specialized device equipped with two wands and attachments for each of its three phases:

  1. Oxygenating Exfoliation: This step involves exfoliating the skin while creating a CO2-rich environment on the skin’s surface.
  2. Ultrasound Micro-Vibrations: Gentle ultrasound vibrations smooth the skin and enhance absorption of customized serums.
  3. Lymphatic Massage: Helps detoxify the skin, reduce puffiness, and deeply massage the serums into the skin.

What sets Glo2Facial apart is its oxygenating exfoliation technique, which draws oxygen to the surface of the skin by stimulating the release of oxygen from within the body. Instead of pushing oxygen onto the skin like traditional oxygen facials, it uses a biological response triggered by a buildup of CO2 to encourage oxygen release, refreshing the skin from the inside out.

Clinical studies have shown that, just minutes after treatment, skin displays increased oxygen levels, along with improvements in smoothness, brightness, and a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles.

Glo2Facial can be customized to address specific skin concerns with options like:

  • Balancing: Controls breakouts and reduces oiliness for clearer, calmer skin.
  • Detoxifying: Protects against environmental stressors, ideal for those in polluted environments.
  • Anti-Aging: Supports skin elasticity and collagen production to combat early signs of aging.
  • Hydrating: Delivers intense moisture and brightens dull, dry skin.
  • Brightening: Targets dark spots and pigmentation for a more even complexion.
  • Firming: Boosts collagen and reduces fine lines for more mature skin.
  • Revitalizing: Improves elasticity, stimulates collagen, and evens skin tone to reduce signs of aging.

Each treatment is tailored to your skin type and specific goals, ensuring a personalized experience with visible results.

The Process

  • Your skin will be assessed and your practitioner will recommend the best treatment customization to address your concerns.
  • Primer Gel will be applied to the areas being treated
  • The Oxypod customization will be applied with the Geneo X for Oxfoliation. The wand has an abrasive tip to remove dead skin cells via light physical exfoliation. Some OxyPods also contain chemical exfoliants, such as alpha hydroxy acids.
  • The OxyPod reacts with the Primer Gel to create CO2 bubbles, which lowers the skin’s pH and drawing oxygen from the blood into the skin.
  • The ultrasound wand is used next for the Lite Ultrasound Experience, or LUX. Micro-vibrations from these ultrasound waves help smooth skin and infuse it with the serum of your choice.
  • Finally, they’ll use the wand (with a different attachment) for a hands-free lymphatic massage, to help reduce puffiness and further infuse your skin with those active ingredients.

Afterward, you’ll be able to resume your normal activities.

Side effects

How long does a treatment last?

Typically, the results of a Glo2Facial session last 14 days. This can be extended by using SPF30 or higher when out in the sun.

The manufacturer recommends a series of at least six monthly treatments.

If you have pigmentation or acne your practitioner may recommend more treatments but you should not have more than one per week.

These treatments have no known side-effects other than temporary mild redness and blotchiness due to mild irritation.
